Johnson Memorial Hospital

Breast Care Center

Designed for the comfort, convenience and care of women.

JMH developed the Breast Care Center to provide women with a facility and a range of services designed to ensure their continued breast health. While the Center has many of the capabilities and technologies you would expect, we took extra special care to design and organize the facility and the service we provide to meet the needs of women. Needs like privacy, comfort, convenience and individualized customer service were the cornerstones upon which the center was built.

Equipped with a variety of screening and diagnostic tools, the central focus of the center is on diseases of the breast.

The Center features two mammography suites where over 325 mammograms are performed every month. Each patient is given a Women's Touch mammopad for their mammogram. The mammopad is a foam-cushioned device designed to make mammograms more comfortable. The pad is provided free of charge and 70% of our patients tell us the pad improved their comfort during the mammogram.

All mammograms at the Center are read and interpreted by board certified radiologists who specialize in mammography. The Center is staffed with certified mammography technologists, who have many years of experience in mammography.

The Center also offers breast ultrasound and Johnson County's only stereotactic breast biopsy service, for those women needing testing beyond a diagnostic mammogram. Board-certified surgeons trained in the treatment of breast disease are available upon referral and for consultation.

If you have questions about the Breast Care Center or any of its services, please call (317) 346-3800 or contact us today.
