Sleep Care Center
If sleep – or lack thereof – is an issue, then you’ll be glad to know we’ve opened The Sleep Care Center.
Nearly half of all Americans - more than 100 million people of all ages - do not regularly sleep well. And lack of sleep can lead to more problems than a drowsy day. Sleep apnea, a common sleep disorder, can lead to high blood pressure, heart failure and stroke.
Diagnosing sleep disorders is key to determining an effective treatment. Our Sleep Center houses four rooms for sleep studies and offers diagnostic services such as measuring respiration, eye movement, leg movement, chest and abdominal effort, heart rate, oxygen saturation and body position. To ensure your comfort during a sleep study, the rooms are furnished with comforters, curtains, TVs, fans and refrigerators.
Our Sleep Center staff consists of licensed respiratory therapists and polysomnographic technicians. Interpretations of the studies are performed by a physician with experience in sleep medicine.
