Facing or watching a loved one confront cancer is a stressful and frightening experience. The Cancer Care Center of Johnson Memorial Hospital is staffed with caring, dedicated people ready to help you through this trying time.

The Cancer Care Center is a state-of-the-art facility equipped to prevent, detect, treat and defeat cancer. Located on the west side of the Johnson Memorial campus, the center is on the first floor of the 1159 building and provides both medical and radiation oncology treatments. The Cancer Care Center is designed to treat the whole person, not just the cancer, right here close to home.

Commission on Cancer

In March 2008, the Johnson Memorial Cancer Center received the Commission on Cancer (CoC) Accreditation. This award is designed to recognize cancer programs that strive for excellence in providing quality care to cancer patients.

The cancer center received the highest score in 8 of 9 categories.

Approval by the CoC is given only to those facilities that have voluntarily committed to providing the highest level of quality cancer care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance. To maintain approval, facilities with CoC-approved cancer programs must undergo an on-site review every three years.

Since Johnson Memorial's Cancer Center is a CoC-approved cancer program, our patients are ensured access to:
